Laugh out loud

I actually found this on CK's blog. And laugh out loud I did.

***
Teacher Joke 2
science test question

The student - not necessarily a well-prepared student - sat in his science classroom staring at a question on the final exam paper.

The question directed: "Give four advantages of breast milk."

What to write? He sighed, and began to scribble whatever came into his head, hoping for the best:

1. No need to boil.

2. Cats can't steal it.

3. Available whenever necessary.

Um. So far so good - maybe. But the exam demanded a four-part answer.

Again, what to write? Once more he sighed. He frowned. He scowled. Then sighed again.

But suddenly, he brightened. He grabbed his pen, and triumphantly he scribbled his definitive answer:

4. Available in attractive containers.

A bit crude, I know, but still.... =P

Another little outing

Okay, an outing that ironically wasn't planned by us, but by Norman. But anyhow, a good number of us went for a drink at Bing's! tonight. They were: Chan, myself, David, Haziq M., the Shahren brothers, Jonathan, Fahri, Ivan, Alfarouq, Asyraf, and Jardian.

We gathered at Bing's! around 7:30-8pm and had a drink and a light snack until 9pm. After that some of us decided that we should go play some CS at Ocean. Turns out the place was closed, so we changed to Masters(?). But along the way, some of us changed our minds and decided we should grab a bite at Electra House. There my part of the story ends. Maybe one of those who stayed for the night's events care to continue this? Thanks.

Dude..

(my room)

Greetings everyone at home, or as my american friends would put it,

Wazzup Yo!?
im just here to give you a little update on my trip in the states...
Okay so things are pretty different here. Ill make this first post about schoool i guess..
Well some of the differences are...
I only have to take 4 subjects in school here. Im taking Land Navigation/Space Exploration,
English 12 , US History 2 and also College Chemistry ( gotta love chemistry:D)
Now i know many Malaysians think that Americans have it easy in school and that we Malaysians are way better than them in anything to do with science. Well thats a load of bull:)
So far here in school, the workload has been bigger than what we had back home in 5A plus we
cant get away with not doing homework like you can in St Joe. Homework is part of your grade.
Also for those of us who have joined sports, we practice everyday single school day, and americans dont do that alang alang like many of (me) do back home..
that said, School here does have its ups...like..all the pretty girls you have in class:D
Teachers here are also way more laid back and they dont really mind you asking them all sorts of weird questions..
School lunches here are the BOMB. Dudes, you guys have no idea. I think one day im going to take over the st joe canteen la. Make it something respectable.
oh yeah, a LOT of hot chicks here in school and they are all so friendly:) (did i mention that?)
hehe
aight ill just leave you guys with a bunch of pics i took. maybe ill post somemore in the days to come. peace out and have a good one

(me coaching the seniors at basketball..we lost by like 25 points to the faculty:D )

this is what americans do for fun in the winter. Excellent back workout too. Now you know why americans are so wicked good at sports
this is one of the fine ladies from my A Period hehe

Close shave?

After I saw Jia Wern's post.. I just realized. He's right.. Why are we treating this as a CLASS blog? It was a class blog before but we're no more classmates. We're just EX-classmates. Let's just stop treating this blog as a CLASS blog. I'm gonna start doing that so I'll start posting here more often too (hopefully)..

Anyway... something in Jia Wern's post caught my eye.. *whistle* Yeah, I'm sure you all guessed it. No, not the Borat thing. It's the "(for example, if you hear that Ivan crashed his car)" thing... XP

Ugh... I have to say though. I almost did with Haziq, Aziz, Fahri and Alleem in the car.. We were on the way to Aziz's house to send him pick the house keys when I asked Haziq to read and help me reply a message. Well, after that he kinda shoved my handphone to me and I had a look at it without realizing I almost hhit the car in front of us... Yeah Haziq! If we rammed into that car, I'm gonna blame you dude! XP

Thank God we didn't...

Anyway... Jia Wern, I almost hit the car. Maybe you shouldn't have mentioned my name. Should have said Chan's or Shaun's or Jonathan's name... XP

Evolution

Ok...

The way I see it, this blog needs to evolve, else it's gonna die out. Just like real life. You, know, survival of the fittest and what-not...

So here's what I propose.

Lets use this blog to keep in touch. And more, to share what's been going on with our lives.

That means to stop treating this blog as a CLASS blog, fit only for reminders and announcements, but to start posting up thoughts, opinions, situations, etc.

That means if something strikes you as funny, post it.
If you suddenly hear a real good joke, post it.
If something makes you stop and think for a moment, post it.
If you hear a nice juicy bit of gossip about another brother, post it.

Most importantly,
If you hear news about another brother, post it. (for example, if you hear that Ivan crashed his car, or Syazwan got into Oxford, or Aaron's got a new six-pack, POST IT!)

And post stuff bout yourself too.
(For example..... AGAN! Post something bout what's goin on in the US of A alright?)

I'll start off.

1.Did you notice..... that Darren (yes, our Darren) is now BUFF? He's got MUSCLES, man.... For those of you who were there when we got our SPM results, remember him in his singlet and the grin on his face? Whoa... Now I'm speculating... Either Darren's got too much time on his hands, or he's found himself a GIRL.... *grins* (which is it, Darren?)

2. A little piece of conversation between me and David the other day.
David: Have you watched Borat?
Me: No....
David: There was this part where Borat walks into a room....
***
Borat: What's your job?
Man: I'm retired.
Borat: You're a RETARD?? What kind, physical or mental?
***
Man, I couldn't stop laughing.

Hello

Javier's back in town. Since 2230, 16 March 2007, Javier had fun.

Such as, family gathering-dinner-celebrate_my_SPM_results.
Then, two cups of White Mocha Frappe at Bing!

Then a foiled movie outing, which ended up at Jia Wern's house. Used his computer to apply for a few scholarships. Then, out again to Coffee Bean. Another cup of coffee; The Ultimate. (No kidding, that's one heck of a Mocha+espresso beans+whipped cream concoction.)

Then, sit at home. Doing goodness knows what.

Thursday night, I'll probably go to Chillax. Goodness knows what time but who cares. I've got this habit of not caring about waiting anymore. I'm so numbed by freedom, I don't care.

Friday morning, I'm outta here.

So chill yo.

Congrats to y'all, no matter what you got for SPM, it has specific purpose behind it. Choose wisely, and do your best, stick to "Ora et Labora", leave the rest to God (if you believe there's a God).

Chillax
Live life to the max

Post-SPM Results

So Results Day has come and passed. Apparently we beat our counterparts across the road, though to quote Fahri, it might just be a matter of quantity over quality.

Still, I do believe we've also surpassed our predecessors in the number of Straight As this year. So in retrospect, '06 was a pretty good year for us; another feather in our cap, you might say.

College/University; form 6; matriculation; graping; whatever it is, your future's in your hands now to pick your path in life. Pan's already highlighted the various tertiary education paths in his 'Choices' post, so I don't suppose there's much doubt left in our minds on where we're going after this.

Form 5 may be over, but this blog's still standing. To those of you who still hold some affiliation to this blog, please keep it alive and update it, even if it's just the Saybox. This is our identity as a class, and as a brotherhood.

Finally, to our brothers starting their stint in Group 2/Series 4 of the National Service Programme, good luck to you, and enjoy the experience!(Even if you don't have the chance to read this post)

NS Checklist

Finally the 1st batch is over! After 70 days, it's time to share some NS tips to those starting the 2nd batch this Sunday. Here's a checklist of essentials that you need to survive your experience in NS:
Coat hangers, about 8-10 is enough, but take some thick ones along for your combat fatigues(baju celoreng) because they're heavy
Soap, shampoo, face cream, whatever you need to keep clean
Bucket, how else are you going to wash your clothes?
Brush and detergent, preferably the block detergents instead of powders; easier to keep
Handphone & charger, in case the payphones don't work, which was in my case.
Book/Guitar, something to keep you busy during free periods and weekends; puzzle books are especially good, like Word Search or Sudoku
Blanket, the ones provided are scratchy and uncomfortable
Telephone Cards, when you don't have your phone and you need to call home
Nail Clippers and Earpicks/Buds, personal hygiene is important in a pseudo army camp
Shaver, for those who have beards or mustaches; in PLKN, it's a no-no
Padlock, for locking your locker
A towel, until they give you the PLKN ones, which don't dry very well though, but I use them anyway
Food, like biscuits, but keep them in the locker, because half of my biscuit supply got stolen when I stupidly kept it under my bed
Bottled water, when you're too lazy or it's too late to go to the Mess Hall to get some
Spare toothbrush and toothpaste
Toilet Rolls, unless you prefer washing with water
Lousy shoes, for water activities or when your sports shoes are wet
Slippers, for rest periods and showering
Alarm clock, unless you can naturally wake up at 5am
Code lock suitcase, for keeping your valuables - handphones/wallets when you bathe
Umbrella, when it rains and you don't want to spend your time washing your (newly) wet clothes
Pen, for classes and other stuff
Marker pen, for marking your clothes before you send them to the dobi
Exercise book, for rough paper
Torchlight, useful during blackouts and that night in the forest(that's all I'm saying on this one)
Most importantly, money, you'll need it for fares, supplies, canteen, etc, preferably RM200.

I think that should be all. If you've any questions on other stuff that you think you should bring,
leave a comment. Other than that, keep a positive outlook, avoid bad influences, and enjoy the experience. Good luck to those who'll be starting Batch 2 this Sunday!

That aside, congratulations to those who achieved straight As, be it A1s or A2s in SPM 2006!

Suggestion (again...?!!)

Yo!!! It feels like it's been a year since I last posted here. I know it's not..

Anyway, I'm not gonna crap here cause I'm gonna save it for my blog. Next Monday is our D-Day or V-Day or F-Day (this is my invention) or whatever you wanna call it cause it'll be the same.

I have a little suggestion here. Maybe we could play bball in school early in the morning or maybe badminton (although I'm not too sure we could use the court) before getting our result. It's just a suggestion cause I'm quite sure many won't make it early. One easy and common reason is we need our "beauty" sleep... AHAHAHAHAH!!!!!

Ok... Enough!

I just hope to be able to meet you all coming Monday...

ANOTHER CLASS GATHERING

Hey everyone,wow...it's been a long time since I've post something in the class blog. The class blog seems dead though.Ok...let's just proceed.

THERE WILL BE A CLASS GATHERING SOMEWHERE NEXT WEEK.I SUGGESTED TO HAVE IT ON TUESDAY (13th March 2007) .HERE ARE THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS:

1) A lunch at Meisan Restaurant,Holiday Inn.It is RM 34.50 per person. If some of us are willing to ask the LIFESTYLE card from our parents, maybe we can pay less than RM34.50.It's a unlimited lunch style. You can order as many dishes as possible provided you can finish all the ordered dishes.
HOLIDAY INN RECORD : 40 dishes
SJS 5A 2006 record : 20 dishes

2) A 4-in-1 outing. What is this?..hmmm...well,I've just 'discovered' this option yesterday with some of my friends.FIRST,we have lunch at some cafe.AFTER THAT,we proceed to watch a movie at Star Cineplex.NEXT,we proceed to the 8th floor to have some archery and snooker game and LASTLY.we have a bowling game at Riverside Superbowl. It's pretty fun and doesn't really cost a lot of money. On the contrary,it takes lots of time.

3) A karaoke at Dai Ichi Karaoke lounge. This place operates daily from 7pm to 1am.They will charge RM36 per hour.Ordering drinks from that lounge is not encouraged because the cheapest drink there is RM16(mineral water)....*that's what I heard from Asyraf*.The more people going, the better it is.

5) Hang out at places like Coffee Bean/Bings/Soho/Toms.

6) Play some sports like badminton, tennis or swimming at KGS

7) Go for a 2 days 1 night trip to Damai.

So,these are my suggestions for the class gathering since almost everyone from our class is in Kuching.I do sincerely hope if there's any suggestions/disagreement , please do not hesitate to tell me.I hope the last class gathering at Meisan incident last year won't happen again. If you can't join, inform me earlier.Don't make others who turned up wait for you.Thank you for your co-operation
