Birthday and Holidays

After a lull in the posts, here's another Birthday Shoutout.

HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY IVAN!!

Also, the holidays are here, for most of us. But I think it's merely superficial, and we've got homework and assignments to do on top of that. Anyhow, enjoy your holidays!

Going under...

Haha!

Form 6 started already?

Here in UTP, we're all working our coccyx off. (Inside joke. :P)

Two weeks from now is our final exams. Three weeks from now is our semester break. Wah lau weh... Y'all semester start, ours in UTP mau habis dah...

Maybe I'm going back Kuching on 18 June. Maybe earlier, maybe later.
Like it or not, I'm going back or my mum will die from missing me.

I'll probably drop by at school during my semester break. Pakai school uniform, lenggang-lenggang masuk class, action action sikit... Buat kecoh... Heheh

Cari budak St Teresa... Then my father tangkap... XD

Gotta go practise for my presentation this afternoon. Until next time....

Nostalgic already?

Starin' out into the wild blue yonder
So many thoughts to sit and ponder
'Bout life and love and lack of
And this emptiness in my heart

Too old to be back in Form 5
Too young to be sittin' in coffeeshops
I should just try to live each passin' day

So I just...
Sit right here bloggin' my days in my Multiply
Do my best to live each passin' day
Sit right here bloggin' my days in my Multiply
Just let nostalgia melt these blues away.....

Sun comes up and sun sinks down now
I see my friends starting their lives
Happy that I'm no longer the only busy one

Matrix, Form 6 and University
Everyone's finally got their place
Someday we'll get back
And catch up on life

So I just...
Sit right here bloggin' my days in my Multiply
Do my best to live each passin' day
Sit right here bloggin' my days in my Multiply
Just let nostalgia melt these blues away.....

Soon we're all
Driving cars, gettin' certs and
In relationships and careers
Hope some day we can catch up and
Laugh at things that had been....

So I just...
Sit right here bloggin' my days in my Multiply
Do my best to live each passin' day
Sit right here bloggin' my days in my Multiply
Just let nostalgia melt these blues away.....

In my Multiply....

Here's a parody of Kenny Chesney's 'Beer In Mexico' that I did. I know you guys don't dig country music, so just keep to the lyrics. This song goes out to all our Brothers out there, wherever you are in the world(or going to be), whether you're in some college, or in matriculation, or in Form 6. We'll look back to this a couple of decades down the road, and have a good laugh about "Happy Times".

A Birthday and Form 6

HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY CHENG!!

Hard to believe Form 6 starts tomorrow. Alright, y'all brothers taking Form 6 tomorrow, you know what to do during the orientation. Ivan, fill 'em in tomorrow, okay?

Sunday, May 13, 2007

Hmmm

Hate comments anyone?

Go ahead.

Just don't stay anonymous. You got balls to talk trash, why can't your balls be big enough for you to put your name?

Holiday anyone?

Ok, Norman asked me to put this one up... He's trying to organize a trip to Damai for whoever is still around. Two days one night kinda thing. Tentative date 26th and 27th May. If you're free and you're interested in going, please leave a comment...

-Peace out-

The Parting of Ways

As some of you know, Jeremy and Isaac are leaving for Labuan tomorrow morning; Jeremy at 9am, Isaac at 11am. What I'm thinking is any of you interested in seeing your brothers off is welcome to be at the airport during those times. Anyone else interested? Just show up, that's all. Maybe we can take some pictures too.

Besides that, Congratulations to those who've acquired the Petronas Scholarship, like Jonathan and Cheng and a few others, and also to those who've acquired the JPA Scholarship, notably Jia Wern. And congratulations to those who've made it to Form 6. I just want to say that, though some of you will be going to different classes, like Ivan and Noel to Physics and Gerald, Jardian and everybody else to Biology, don't forget that ultimately, Forms 4 and 5 were where your brotherhood affiliations came from. Sure, you might have your own class blogs(if it ever happens), but you're still a Brother. Maybe 5 years down the road we can have a reunion dinner and catch up on things. And we've gotta have a video of our times during said dinner.

Well, all things said and done, good luck and all the best to those furthering their studies to wherever you'll be going. Keep in touch with and through the class blog, and remember that you're always a Brother, no matter whether you're in the UK, the US, France, New Zealand,
Russia, Indonesia, India, or even just here in Malaysia. Glory and success be upon you and remember that 5A 2006 broke records and set new ones(JPA and SPM and what-have-you). It's good to be 5A '06. Never ever forget that.

Hmm

This is apparently how much our blog is worth....

My blog is worth $5,645.40.
How much is your blog worth?

Not bad, eh?

This can be put on the sidebar if you guys want...

Form 6

Tronoh

Sucks.

Big time.

Need Kuching.

Money money money

Right now I'm going to attempt a financial analysis of the past year for our class. I'm including monetary benefits as a direct result of SPM results. I'll try to be as boastful as possible. =P I'm going to make a lot of very rough estimations, though, so don't take this analysis as fact.

Gains
1. RM150 for our achievements during sports day.
2. RM 500 per student for 20 students from Yayasan Sarawak for a total of RM10, 000.
3.Five Petronas scholarships (that I know of) worth roughly RM400,000 each, for a total of RM2,000,000.
4. A few partial scholarships from Swinburne (two, I think) worth around RM7,000 each, for a total of RM14,ooo
5. RM300 from Maybank (or other banks) for roughly ten students for a total of RM3,000.
6. A fore-estimate of three JPA scholarships worth RM 500,000 each for a total of RM1.5 million. (This figure will be amended as the actual results come in this Thursday)
7. Miscellanous overseas scholarships worth RM500,000.
8. An estimate of RM100 per A for SPM from parents for roughly 350 As for a total of RM35,000.
9.Miscellanous reward items (from parents, relations, institutions, etc.) worth roughly RM15,000.
10. An unknown number of US dollars for Mozilla downloads from our blog, my guess is US$5, or roughly RM18. (what's the real figure, Dave?)

Total gains:RM4,077,168

Losses
1. School fees worth roughly RM100 per student for 45 students for a total of RM4500.
2. Fines paid to school for being late, not wearing nametag, untucked shirts, etc., worth roughly RM30.
3. An estimated RM25 for broken lab equipment.
4. RM100 or so for the end-of-the-year bash at Agan's house.

Total loss:RM4655

And so we have a net gain of..........

RM4,072,513 or 4.072513 million ringgit!!!

Man, we did good, didn't we? =)

p.s. We shouldn't forget though, that the most important gain was lifelong friendships, which are priceless. (For everything else, there's Mastercard)

p.s.s. Feel free to move around the numbers if you've got more info, or drop a comment.

p.s.s.s. For those with straight A's in SPM: In case you don't know, Yayasan Sarawak is giving us RM500 each this Friday, 11th May, at the Civic Centre, 8am. We're supposed to meet at school first before 7.30am. Dresscode is formal. Be there, or send a representative.

Birthday Shoutout, and other things.

Here's to Syafiq...

HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY SYAFIQ!!

Also, anyone interested in purchasing tickets to the Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End premiere? It's on Friday, 25th May, 7:30pm. It'd be a great way to have an outing with remaining brothers in Kuching. Tickets can be purchased from our counterparts.
