The Holiday Bug

It's the beginning of the second week of the school holidays, but already I'm hearing grumbles and complaints about boredom. Well, here's a couple of my tips to help you stave off boredom for another day, as if the bird flu bug wasn't bad enough...

1)Core rule: I live by this and mostly this alone! Always look for something to do, be it helping my parents, doing chores, or doing homework, or digging up some old computer game, boredom is a situation rarely occuring to me.

2)Pursue your hobbies! I'm sure you all have some kind of hobby or something, be it watching animes or watering your plants. If one hobby isn't enough for you, see whether it's possible to pursue another one, like maybe reading. Or bicycling. This ties with tip #3.

3)Broaden your horizons! Learn new stuff like Java programming or maybe pick up some useful skill like carpentry or tailoring. Learning it keeps you busy and you end up with something useful to do. I myself do semi-useless stuff like playing the guitar, but hey, it keeps me entertained for another day.

4)If only we could drive; nope, we're still underaged, so this is probably the main cause of our boredom, restraints on the outside world. Unless you're lucky enough to live near the city centre, you gotta make due with what you're stuck with.

5)If it's possible, movie outings, or visits to each other's houses. What's fun for one guy could possibly be fun for many.

6)If the above doesn't appeal to you, you're either lazy, lethargic, or, did I mention lazy? That's reality guys, if you absolutely refuse to adhere to any of the above, I can't help you.

On a happier note, it's Jardian's birthday. 'Lou yeh', it's your birthday, in case you haven't remembered. You're finally 16, another year closer to earning that white hair of yours. No offense, but I suppose it'll get whiter every year.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JARDIAN!!

Haha, well, it does little wonders to inject some humour in an otherwise (apparently) boring holiday season.
