Simplicity and Oral Assessments
Today saw the continued BM Oral assessment, as well as the start of our second BI Oral assessment, to which I had the honour of starting first(because I didn't bring my EST Workbook, bad me).
We started the day off with Modern Maths, with Mr. Wong, the, uh, recusant teacher. He's full of very interesting ideas(at least, to me). Today's idea was simplicity in authority. He said he couldn't understand why the damned prefects had to wait at the gates for latecomers. Mr. Wong says, 'If you're not in class when attendance is being taken, thEN YOU'RE LATE! SIMPLE! I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY IT THEY CANNOT SEE IT!!' So, he continued about simplicity in life, that we have to keep things simple. 'YOU'RE JUST LIKE ROBOTS!!' he continued. I, for one, like the way he thinks. We probably need to start putting our heads together or at least cogitate a little.
During BM, we were left to our devices, to which plenty of us saw to copying Chem PEKA reports from each other. Then came Moral. Mdm Alice either woke up on the wrong side of bed, or we seriously upset her. But that's discipline, and we damn well need some.
Then came Physics. Ms. Mah commented about student discipline somewhere early during the lesson. Something about her putting more respect in prefects. She also added that her disrespect for prefects are greater compared to normal students because of their standing in the school. Meh, like we haven't heard that notion over and over again. I, for one, just love pointing out to prefects that they didn't pick the trash that I, a normal student, wasn't more obliged to pick(that's right, I'm laughing in your faces, prefects! Pick the trash up like me!).
Then came EST after lunch. I happily volunteered because, as I've mentioned, I didn't bring my book. So after that, I spent time reading my new Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Incredible Cross-Sections, and chatted about high-tech weapons with Pan and Gerald. Seriously, blowing stuff up, is a rather good topic to talk about.
To conclude my post today, I'd like to point out that today's Mark's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK! We had two failed sing-a-longs during Math(which Mr. Wong objected), followed by a 3rd try during the 'inter-period' period.
Guys, Luke's birthday's this Thursday! After that is Haziq S.'s birthday. Lots more to come in the following months. I should put up a 'birthday boys' column here somewhere...
