Gambir

The day started off with Pn. Kang with her ritual nagging and questions. Then we had 2 periods of MT with Mr. James. We've finished with Statistics, so we're gonna start with Triangular Solutions(rough translation) and Use of Indices(another rough translation) in the coming weeks; having been done with Circular Measure ages ago; and we're not doing Differentiation just yet(his explanation of it being too long and complicated before the holidays take over).

Then it was Moral. Pn. Alice tells us about the new structure question format in the SPM, and we're supposed to remind her about it on Monday for a reiteration. Breaktime came after that.

EST came hot on our heels after break, with Pn. Pung continuing her BI Oral assessment, and some work for us to complete. With that over, came History. Pn. Nuriya was telling us about Chapter 10: The British Stance and it's Economic Ramifications on our Nation. Which eventually led to 'gambir' being mentioned. I won't tell you what's the 'clandestine' use of gambir; I'm sure those curious enough will seek it out from their own sources.

After History, we had 2 more periods of Pn. Pung again in English. She took up about 20 minutes to give out answers to our previous homework, which she then continued later with her assessment. I spent some time with Agan, Matthew and Haziq S. looking at Alleem's Yearbook. My first look at a US school magazine. Much more different from the school magazines you get here. Haziq S. was pointing out to us all the sluts, cool guys, crack/weed smokers, etc to us. Really fun time.

Oh, and in between the BM and MT periods, we had another birthday sing-a-long to Luke Tan. You could feel the class charging up after some of us spread the word around. Then, after Pn. Kang left, we let loose our baritone(pfft) voices in song. And we elected a new class monitor(Haziq S. being selected as a prefect), Aaron G.

Reminders:
1)Math workbook(the one we bought earlier this year), tomorrow.
2)BI Homework(the EST paper.

And...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKE!
